Last Tuesday, for golf practice, the boys played an 9 hole tournament at the Children's Course in Gladstone.  It was a glorious, sunny fall day, perfect for golf as the boys played through the course.  Everyone had a good time honing their skills of hitting, chipping and putting.  At the end, it was Zack Paul who came out on top winning by 8 strokes.  Congratulations, Zack on a good game.

What a great volleyball season we had.  The girls outplayed all expectations in finishing the season with a 7-4 record and missing the playoffs by just one game.  It was disappointing for the girls, but when looking at it in perspective, the played very well and should be proud of what they accomplished.  Working hard and succeeding like they did is what it is all about.

Last Tuesday I got to go to the Children's Course and play a few holes of golf with the golf team.  The weather was perfect and we had a great time getting in 4 holes before we ran out of time.  I sure wish I could have learned the game when I was a 7th and 8th grader.  Maybe I would have some skill if I had.  The boys seem to be having a great time a some are showing a talent for the game.

After a week of for some practices the 7/8 team got underway again against Riverdale.  The girls came out slow, but picked up the pace in the middle of the first game so that we won both games to improve our record to 6-1.

The 5/6 team had a setback at Damascus, losing their first game in over a year.  They bounced back and played well winning against Corbett.

Just a few games left in the season, so if you want to see some exciting volleyball, come support the teams.
